The easiest type of transportation from capital city to Phangan is to buy tickets from Songserm Travel for ferry and speed boats, bus, train, planes to Phangan. Or you can take an 1 hr. flight operated by Bangkok Airways 6 times a day from BKK to Koh Samui and catch the catamaran boat to Koh Phangan.
Simmilar to it's sister island Koh Tao, Koh Phangan was a while ago first found by young people searching a sanctuary from the commercialised Samui and since a few years, Koh Phangan offers a large number of options for things to do, bars and clubs, accommodation and spas.
Located in the Gulf of Thailand Koh Phangan is the next island to the popular tourist destination of Samui which get visited by over one million tourists each year.
Kohphangan's climate is the whole year a perfect for a holiday. Clear days and a nice ocean breeze are the norm. For the purists, end of December to the end of March is the best tropical Koh Phangan. The Island is much quieter and relaxed than Samui, with the exception of the Full Moon party that attracts every month a estimated number of 5 - 10,000 visitors arrive for the famous full moon party on the east side beach of Haad Rin.
The island of Kohpangan is one of the country's real tropical gems. Blessed with golden beaches and hidden bays, visitors from many different countries come again year after year to soak up the amazing feeling of the island.
